Daryl Blaine Lappin, 78, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026, after a short illness.
He was born on January 3, 1948, in Logan, KS to John “Blaine” and Betty (Grieb) Lappin. On April 26, 1986, he married Joan Fisher in Hays, KS.
Daryl resided in Wichita since 1989. He worked several places, including a teller at Wichita Greyhound Park, and Goodwill Industries.
He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and watching professional football. His favorite team was the Minnesota Vikings.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three sisters Penny (Mike) Estvold, Shelley (Jeff) Pyle, and Haley (Mitch) Becker; one brother Tab; sister-in-law JaNelle (Steve) VanBruggen; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert who died in infancy, and Todd who passed in May 2025.
A private family service has been held.
