86, passed away Wednesday, January 31st, 2024. She was born December 6th, 1937 to Jennings Walters and Lena Frey in Junction City, Kansas.

Darlene was a post office rural mail carrier for 25 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing letters and cards. Darlene traveled, enjoyed gardening, craft shows and grandkid activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Phillip Walters, brother-in-law, Corliss Ballou, grandchild, Robert Pope

Darlene is survived by her children; Michael Shivers, Marlene Salsman, Melissa Shivers, Mitchell (Renee) Shivers, Mark (Becke) Shivers, Mae (William) Smith; sister, Roseanne Ballou, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren

Memorial Service: 10:00 am, Friday, February 9th, 2024 at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Belle Plaine Arboretum
