Cynthia Miller (West) passed away September 15, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska September 15, 1958 and grew up in Plymouth, Nebraska and Derby, Kansas. Cindy graduated from Derby High School in 1977. She met Rick Miller at a football game in the fall of 1975 and they were married June 4, 1977. She worked at Boeing until 1984 when she stayed home to raise the children. In her spare time she started a small cake business and also cleaned homes in the local area. Later on, when the children were older, she returned to the aircraft industry and spent 20 years as a composite layup mechanic. Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family and loved time with the grandkids. She also enjoyed her many different dogs, but especially took pride in gardening and landscaping her various homes. She is preceded in death by her parents, Winona Vail and Donald West. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Rick, Daughters Connie (Eric) Akred, Kristy (Jon) Comstock, Monica (Cody) Hoag and son Dr. Kyle Miller. Grandchildren Braydon, Conner, Hadlie and Haylie Akred, Haylie, Lexi, Natalie and Wesley Comstock, Skyler Crow and one brother, Randy and Cuc West.
A memorial has been established with Botanica, 701 Amidon St., Wichita KS 67203.
Visitation 5:30 – 7:30pm Tuesday September 21, with Funeral Services 10:30am Wednesday, September 22, all at Smith Mortuary in Mulvane. Private graveside services to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
