Cynthia (Cindy) Denise Loyd, 65, passed away on December 5, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Dennis Elliott and Bonni Debo. She was the oldest of four children and the only daughter.
She was a loving wife, married 47 years to her husband Michael. Together they traveled the world, serving the needs of Michael’s career. She never failed to make a warm and inviting home, and they often invited Airmen separated from their families to share the holidays or a simple meal. Upon retirement from the Air Force they settled in Rose Hill, Kansas.
She was a fierce and dedicated mother to their only daughter, April. She chose to stay at home, believing it to be the best way to help raise her child. She passed on her knowledge, her direct attitude, her love of books, and her sense of humor.
She was a loving step daughter to Cathy Elliott, and enjoyed spending time with her. She never considered her to be a “step” mom but always considered her a friend and family.
She was a skilled crafts woman, who could turn simple materials into works of art. She enjoyed teaching others how to create things. She especially enjoyed being crafty with her three grandchildren. She passed on her love of the arts to them and encouraged their creativity throughout their lives.
She was a loyal and true friend, always ready with a shoulder to cry on and humor for any situation.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Bonni; step-mother, Cathy; brothers, Dan, Scott, and Chris; husband, Michael; daughter, April, and grandchildren, David, Oliver, and Dakota.
She will be missed beyond words.
