Connie J. VanDeren, 59, passed away on May 15, 2016. She was born Aug. 21, 1956 to Jim and Ann Vister in Terre Haute, IN. Connie was a loving mother and a devoted Paraprofessional at Rex Elementary School, where she helped special needs children for 20 years. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Delena; siblings, Becky, Jimmy and John. Connie is survived by her parents, Jim and Ann Vister; husband of nearly 40 years, Jeff VanDeren; children, Elisha (Christian) Monton, Trisha and Kobley VanDeren; grandchildren, Hope, Hailey, Xavier, Jordan, Isabelle, Marissa, Javan and Ethan; siblings, Peggy, Elisabeth, Jeffery and Timmy Jay. Visitation: 3-8p. Tues. May 17, family present 5-7p. Memorial service: 1p. Wed. May 18, both at Smith Family Mortuary Chapel, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, KS.
