Connie J. Carey-Lytton, 78, longtime Mulvane resident, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017. She was born March 2, 1938 to Harry and Bonnie (McGee) Leatherman in Wichita, KS. Connie was the greatest organizer the world has ever seen. She retired from LearJet as an Executive Secretary. Connie was an active member of First Baptist Church of Mulvane where she enjoyed working with the youth. She enjoyed camping and was a member of the Mulvane Camping Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Harold Carey. Connie is survived by her husband, Jim Lytton; children, Brad (Kathy) Carey, Brent (Penny) Carey, Melody Hogoboom; grandchildren, Aaron (Kiersten) Carey, Kari Thomas, Jessica (James) Vail, Keli (J.D.) Shaffer, Brooke Thomas, Kaitlyn (Trent) Arion, Clay Hogoboom; 6 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jerry (Diana) Leatherman, Jim (Karen) Leatherman, Jack (Beth) Leatherman, Jay (Linda) Leatherman. Memorial Service: 10 am, Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Mulvane 1020 N. 2nd Ave. Mulvane, KS 67110. Inurnment to follow at Mulvane Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association, 1820 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67214.
