Clifford Raymond Lindsey

Lindsey, Clifford Raymond, 93, died Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Derby, Kansas. He was born January 2nd, 1930 to John V. and Jessie (Colwell) Lindsey in Pampa, Texas. Clifford married Mary Anne Hunter on May 20, 1956 and remained happily married until her death on March 3, 2021.

Clifford served in the Army Signal Corps in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He later owned Lindsey Drilling Company in Texline, Tx and drilled water wells in the Texas panhandle, Oklahoma and New Mexico. He served as city councilman and volunteer fire department chief in Texline.

Clifford was a Boy Scout leader and enjoyed showing kids his favorite places in the back country of Texas and New Mexico. Clifford was a talented sculptor, artist, and photographer. He was an avid rock collector and a friend to alley cats.

Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anne (Hunter) Lindsey, brothers John Lindsey, Sheldon Lindsey, sister Carol Jean and her husband Bernard Eads, sister-in-law Mary Lindsey, sister-in-law Virginia Ruth Wimberly and her husband Jon Cooper Wimberly, great-nephew David Eads.

Clifford is survived by his son Kevin Clifford Lindsey (Barbara Decker-Lindsey) and granddaughters Cordelia Lindsey and Miranda Lindsey. Also survived by sister-in-law Clara Lindsey, brothers Robert Lindsey, Roy Lindsey (Berna Deen), nieces Qunicy Anne, Jonny Ruth, Martha Jane, Ede, Elaine, Donna, Kathy, Dwanna, Calisse, and nephews Walt, Ray, Scott, Don, Jeff and Shelby.

No Services will be held at this time. Interment will be at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Winfield KS.
