Cleota M. Beran

Cleona "Toni" Beran, age 83, of Wichita, formerly of North Platt, NE, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016. She was born May 1, 1933 in Hindrey, NE, a place that is no longer on the map. Toni remained a true Cornhusker all of her life. She moved to Wichita in 1957. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George; daughter, Catherine Saunders; son, Michael (Beth) Beran; half sister, Janet Wright; 7 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was happy to say she ended up being the oldest grandchild in both her mom's and dad's families. Her father, mother, stepfather, brother and sister preceded her in death. A special thanks to the Hospice ladies, Jenni Esgro and Maria Vasquez. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Monday, June 20, with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday, June 21, both at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville.
