Chris Vannatta

Norwich- VanNatta, Christopher “Chris”, 47, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at his home. He was born on May 17, 1973 in Pensacola, Florida. Chris married Crystal Gail Dunn on April 5th, 2002. From this union, he had 2 children, a son, Aaron Lee James VanNatta, born July 20th, 2002 and a daughter, Elizabeth Joann VanNatta, born May 16th, 2004. Chris loved fishing, listening to music, and working on vehicles. He also loved sitting on the beach listening to the ocean. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Donna Abrams, and his biological father, David Lee Etheridge. Chris is survived by his wife, Crystal VanNatta; son, Aaron VanNatta and fiancé, Kiara Fenlason; daughter, Elizabeth “Lupy” VanNatta; mother, Beth VanNatta; sister, Theresa Carrington and her husband Joe; brother, Scott VanNatta and his wife, Shal VanNatta; brother, Bryan Lema and his wife, Chrystal; sister, Lacy and her husband; brother, Mike and his wife, Nicole; grandmother, Betty Peckheiser; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He leaves behind many other family members and friends that will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Thursday, January 7, 2021, 2-5 pm at Smith Mortuary – Derby. Funeral is Friday, January 8, 2021 at 3pm at Smith Mortuary – Derby, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. The family would love everyone to be dressed in country casual. (Don’t forget your masks!)
