Chris Cuadra

Christopher “Chris” John Cuadra passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the age of 31 years old. He was involved in a motorcycle accident on his way to work and sustained a traumatic brain injury to which he succumbed to two days later.

He was born on October 21, 1990 in Wichita, KS to Benjamin “Ben” S. Cuadra and Tammy L. Cuadra (Minard).

Chris was a Machine Operator at ThyssenKrupp Aerospace for the past three and a half years where he cut metal for airplane parts.

Chris leaves behind four children, Arielle, age 10, daughter of Heather Clark; Lianna, age 7, Apollo, age 5, and Benjamin “Beni”, age 1, children of Sarah Rael, whom he spent the last nine years of his life with. Chris was an amazing father, brother, son, and friend. He loved nature, motorcycle rides, his gecko Gecky, and most of all, his children.

He is preceded in death by his dad Ben Cuadra, his paternal grandma Mary Cuadra, and his paternal grandpa Kenneth “Kenny” Cuadra.

He is survived by his children, his mom Tammy Cuadra, his sister Lindsay Cuadra, and his maternal grandparents Don and Karen Minard, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris’s memory will live on through the donation of his organs through Midwest Transplant.

Public viewing will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 from 11am-8pm with family greeting from 5pm-8pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S Woodlawn Blvd, Derby, KS 67307, time TBD.
