Chris Carter

Carter, Christopher Mark, born August 18, 1956, passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 68. Chris was one of three sons of Mark and Dorothy Carter.

Born in Germany and living in various places around the country, his Air Force family located in Derby in 1970 after his dad's retirement from the Air Force. Chris made his way to Cessna and Boeing for most of his working career after a couple of years in college. Chris was a skilled Lead Man, a 185 average bowler, a card shark, and a pretty good pool stick.

He was a good friend to many and he will be missed.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Dorothy and his sister, Jill. He is survived by his brothers, Bob and Dave and his nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Chris will be from 1:00 to 3:00pm Friday Jan. 24, 2025 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, KS.
