Christel Selcer, age 76, realtor, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013. Funeral service 2 PM, Wednesday, August 21, 2013, with family receiving friends at 1 PM, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby. Interment will follow at El Paso Cemetery, Derby. Christel was born in Germany and traveled the world with her husband and children during his military career. They settled in Derby where she was a proud resident for 43 years. Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother - her greatest joy was her family of which she was the heart and center. She loved to garden, dance, listen to music, & discuss politics. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; parents, Walter & Elfriede Herrmann; and sisters, Marianne and Ruth. Survivors include her children, Jene Fisher, Dave Selcer, & Dori White (Dorryl), all of Derby; brother, Hanse; grandchildren, Brandi Fisher (Greg); Marni Fisher, Paul Pray (Alecia); Delmar Pray (Amy); Sarina Ziv (Nir); Jordan Fisher; & 9 great grand-children.
