Charles L. "Chuck" Walker

Charles “Chuck” Leon Walker, 83, of Wichita, Kansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 25th, 2026.

Charles was born in Salina, Kansas on November 8, 1942, a son of Charleen Anna (Mohler) Miller and Donald LeRoy Walker.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1965 - 1968 including tours in South Korea and Germany. He held several jobs during his lifetime but spent the majority of his career as a truck dispatcher/driver at M Bruenger trucking company. Chuck loved trucking across the country on the weekends, serving and leading at church, working on cars, drag racing, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife, Judy; daughter Stacey Bruton (Terry), son Nick Walker (Theresa); stepdaughters Laura Manning, Lisa Westmoreland (JB); stepson Nick Leiker (Dianne); grandchildren, Tyler Bruton (Samantha), Gabrielle Walker, Benjamin Walker, Mikayla Lewis, Isaiah Lewis, Karis Manning, Zachariah Westmoreland (Brandy), Kennady Westmoreland, Randi Leiker, Braden Leiker, Arienne Leiker, Noah Leiker, Eli Leiker-Jett; 2 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bruce, Dean, Merle, and Perle; and stepson Alfred “Joe” Joseph Leiker III.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita, Kansas.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 29th at 10:00am at Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N. Meridian Ave in Wichita, Kansas with burial to follow at Benton Cemetery, Benton, Kansas.
