Charles Fredrick Palmer

Charles Fredrick “Fred” Palmer, age 79, retired Teamster, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013. Visitation 1-8pm Wednesday, November 6, 2013 with family present 6-8pm; funeral service 1pm Thursday, November 7, 2013, both at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. Fred was involved for many years in several community activities in Haysville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Estes Palmer, Curtis and Mary Burchett. Fred is survived by his wife of 57 years, Naomi Palmer; children, Randy Palmer, Kim Rose and Tricia (Darrell) Johnson, and son-in-law Dale Rose; grandchildren, Sharla Rose, Justin (Casey) Rose, Leah Griep and Krystal Rose; great-grandchildren, Kira, Jaidyn, Khloi, Kaleah, Gibson and Jordyn; half siblings, James (Barbara) Palmer and Phyllis Snow; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and an uncle. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
