Charlene Elizabeth Smith

MULVANE-Smith, Charlene Elizabeth, 82, retired Registered Nurse, passed away July 18, 2011. Charlene was born August 28, 1928. She is preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Mildred Schindel, husband Reford Smith, daughter Marcia Mohr, and sister Carmen Rindt. Survivors include daughter, Debbie (Tom) Rains, Wellington; son Terry (Jimi) Smith, Mulvane; brother Meryl Schindel, Silver Springs, MD; sister Ardith Bailey, Elizabethtown, KY; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 1-8 pm, family receiving friends 6-8, Senter-Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis, Mulvane. Funeral service 10 am Thursday at Mulvane United Methodist Church, 107 S. Central, followed by interment at Mulvane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
