Cecil Ray Boone

Derby - Boone, Cecil Ray, age 87, owner of Derby Plaza movie theatre, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012. Visitation 1-8pm Thursday, August 2, with family receiving friends 5-7pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Funeral service 10am Friday, August 3, at Pleasantview Baptist Church, 1335 N. Buckner, Derby. Cecil was born November 24, 1924 to Raymond and Elizabeth Boone in Pea Ridge, AR. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Velma; daughters, Janet (Jerry) Fager, Carolyn (Bob) Eckhardt, Myrna (Russ) Allen and Lori (Russ) Armstrong; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson.
