Catherine Ann (Bevington)Drosselmeyer, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2014. She was born July 4, 1928 in Anthony, Kansas to Glen Day Bevington, Sr and Mary E. Bevington. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clement Lee Drosselmeyer; brothers, Harold Seifert, Elmer Bevington; sister, Mary Neil. Survivors: longtime companion Collie the cat; brothers, Glen Bevington, Jr of Amarillo, TX, Donald Bevington of Blackwell, OK, Jack Bevington (Jenny) of Chicago, IL; sister, Valeria Sample (Ed) of Irving, TX; children, Wesley Drosselmeyer (Edie) of Berryville, VA, Lazetta Hudlin (Danny) of Belle Plaine, Steve Drosselmeyer (Gwen) of Kingman, Robin Jakub (Danny) of Derby; grandchildren, Seth Drosselmeyer (Shannon) and Sarah Jones (Justin) all of Berryville, Starla Shryack of Wichita, Cody Drosselmeyer (Lacy), Kelli Drosselmeyer and Clint Drosselmeyer, all of Kingman, Charity Wright (Stephen) of Derby; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Catherine and Brittany Drosselmeyer, Alicia Jones and another Jones on the way, all of Berryville; Derrick Drosselmeyer of Kingman, Braxton and Berkley Wright of Derby. Catherine spent her childhood in Anthony, Kansas relocating to Kingman with her young family and then onto Derby where she spent her middle ages working as a Dietary Aide with the Kansas Masonic Home for 14 years. Following her retirement, she became a dedicated Derby Red Hatters member, enjoyed attending Woodlawn Methodist Church and participating in the ladies prayer group. Viewing: 2-8pm Monday, Smith Mortuary, Derby. Funeral service: 1pm Tuesday, March 4, 2014, Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S. Woodlawn, Derby with Rev. Vic Calcote officiating. Burial will be in El Paso Cemetery. Memorials are established with Woodlawn United Methodist Church and Heartland Hospice.
