Catharina Adriana Reavis

May 23, 1945 — March 6, 2026

Reavis, Catharina Adriana, 80, passed away on March 6, 2026. She was born in Halsteren, Netherlands to her parents, Adrianus and Maria Adriana van der Linden on May 23, 1945.

After growing up in the Netherlands, Cathy became a nurse in the Dutch Army where she met her Husband in the late 1960's, who was serving in the United States Air Force at the time. Shortly after the birth of their first child, Mariella, her new family relocated to the United States ultimately settling in Haysville, Kansas where they lived for over 50 years. Over the course of the last 50 years, she raised two very successful children and became "Oma" to two grandsons.

Cathy spent the majority of her life as a nurse practitioner committed to helping others and filling her time as a devoted champion of women's rights. After 35 years, she finally retired only to take on the role of a volunteer at Wesley Medical Center. She rarely sat still, especially when others needed her.

Cathy was a remarkable woman who knew no strangers and made lifelong friends wherever she went.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mariella Rainwater; twin sister, Maria van der Linden; and her parents.

Catharina is survived by her son, Matt (Sherie) Reavis; grandchildren, Ross Rainwater and Ryan Rainwater; sister, Liza Keij; and brother, Peter (Judy) van der Linden.
