Carolyn Sue Wells

Carolyn Sue (Gurwell) Wells, 75, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at her home in Rose Hill, KS. She was born February 11, 1940 in Iola, KS. Carolyn married Carl Wells on July 29, 1956 and followed him on his travels while he served in the military. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and William Bright; brothers, Eugene and Robert Gurwell; sister, Maryann Metzger; grandson, Dalton Dakota Jackson. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Carl; sister, Peggy Moore and husband Wayne of Augusta; children, Carl “Ed” Wells and wife Donna of Douglass, Cherryl Myers of Wichita, Dan Wells of Rose Hill, Mary Jackson and husband Kevin Dvorak of Haysville; 14 grandchildren; lots of great-grandchildren; Viewing: 2-8pm Wednesday, Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, Douglass. The family will greet friends from 5-7pm. Funeral service: 2pm Thursday, March 19, 2015, First Baptist Church, 107 S. Maple, Douglass.
