85, passed away Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. She was born July 28th, 1936 to Dallas Raymond VanAuker and Dorothy McFetridge VanAuker in Battle Creek, Nebraska.
Carolyn was a retired payroll clerk for USD 259. She loved making jewelry of all kinds. She was a the best mother anyone could have.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Petersen; daughter, Laurel Petersen, parents and by son-in-law, Kent Achey.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Vineyard (Wayne), Danielle Achey, Anne Fleury (Michael); siblings, John VanAuker and Mary Ellen VanAuker; grandchildren, Wayne, Jr., Brian, Amanda, Shawn, Brett, Nathan, Dallas; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one niece and nephew.
Visitation: 1 hour prior to service. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 9th, 2022 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca Wichita, 67213.
