Carol Jean Otte

Carol J. Otte died Saturday, October 14, 2023, in Wichita, KS. She was born September 6, 1941,

Lincoln, KS, to Harold and Letha (Pierce) Kunkle.

Carol worked for Quartzite Stone Company, Lincoln, KS, for 18 years. For the Kansas

Department of Corrections as a corrections officer for l8 years, in Ellsworth and Larned, KS.

And then worked seven years as a State Parole Officer in Wichita, KS, retiring in 2008. She

spent her retirement reading, working in her yard, and many enjoyable years square dancing with

the Village Steppers, Derby, KS.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Lenita Maze, Wichita, KS, and son, Bob Maze, Great Falls,

MT. And four grandchildren, Zoey Maze, Wichita, KS, and Rochelle Brokl, Dustin Maze, and

Michael (Brianna) Maze, of Great Falls, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a

sister, Carma L. Mason, Great Bend, KS.

Per her wishes, Carol will be cremated. There will be no service at this time.
