Carmen LeNita Churchman, 85, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017. She was born January 8, 1932 to Clyde and Matha (Williams) Rush in Bristow, OK. Carmen retired from Wesley Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and children, Dianne and Christopher. Carmen is survived by her children, David Churchman, Daniel (Vicki) Churchman, Linda (Terry) Cochran, and LeNita (Michael) Russell; siblings, Jon (Bertie) Rush and Teresa (Clem) Fitterer; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 1 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca St., Wichita, KS 67213. Funeral: 3 pm, Friday, May 19, 2017 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 842 N. Tyler Rd., Wichita, KS 67212. Interment to follow at Maize Park, 13332 W. 53rd St. N., Maize, KS 67101. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wichita Botanica Garden, 701 Amidon St., Wichita, KS 67203.
