55, passed away Monday, March 24th, 2025. She was born March 13th, 1970 to Rex Shipman and Sandra Fuksa in Wichita, Kansas.

Carla's vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She found joy in the simple things—shopping, watching NASCAR, and traveling to new places. But more than anything, Carla had a special love for the beach and the palm trees that reminded her of the peace and beauty of the ocean.

Carla was dedicated to her family, and her love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. She worked to provide for and support her family, always putting them first. Carla was also known for her humorous determination, especially when it came to her goats—something she insisted on having, despite not particularly liking them.

Throughout her career, Carla enjoyed her work and formed many lifelong friendships. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Carla's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to her family will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and the many friends she made throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sandra Dickson and Rex Shipman

Carla is survived by her husband, Dean Stokes; daughters, Kayla Stokes, Kristin (Gregory) Stokes-Baker; beloved dad, Ollie Dickson; grandchildren, Jaelah Archuleta, Kenzleigh Archuleta; sister, Susan Smith; brother, Daniel Shipman

Visitation: Thursday, March 27th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Friday, March 28th, 2025 both at Smith Mortuary, Haysville 7031 S. Broadway Haysville, Kansas 67060. Interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
