Carl L. Mcdowell

Carl L. McDowell, age 82, of Haysville, retired construction foreman, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017. Visitation 10 AM - 4 PM Thursday, May 25, with family receiving friends 3-4 PM, Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. Graveside service 1 PM Friday, May 26, Greenwood Cemetery, 6231 W. 47th St., S. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Iona McDowell; and his sister, Barbara Jean Gaston. His daughter, Victoria Lynn Lewis, of Grand Prairie, TX, has, since his death, passed away. Survivors include his sons, David (Michelle Patton), of Derby, Sean (Jan), of Haysville, and Michael (Leslie), of Belton, MO; daughters, Linda Kay Harfert (Michael), of Denton, TX, and Teresa Kirchner (Sam), of Maize; brother, Earl: sisters, Joan Staley and Alice Johnston; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with VFW Post 6957, 7504 S. Broadway, Haysville, KS 67060.
