Carl Anderson

Anderson, Carl C. "Punk", 82, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015. He was born September 5, 1932 to Delbert and Opal (Brazill) Anderson in Peck, KS. Carl was a Belle Plaine High School graduate and a proud member of the VFW, American Legion, and NRA. He was mechanically inclined and could fix just about anything. Carl enjoyed telling stories and watching his grandsons’ sporting events. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Herbert Anderson. Carl is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy “Joann” Anderson; sons, Ben (Linda) Anderson and David (Pamela) Anderson; grandsons, Greg Anderson, Travis Anderson, and Tanner Anderson; and siblings, Gene (Darlene) Anderson, Joe Anderson, and Kay (Wayne) Woolsey. Visitation: Monday, 3 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm at Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home, 219 W. 2nd Ave., Belle Plaine, KS 67013. Funeral: 10 am, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Belle Plaine United Methodist Church, 124 E. 10th Ave., Belle Plaine, KS 67013. Interment to follow at Council Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 8630 E. 32nd Ct. N., Wichita, KS 67226.
