Bryce William Rowland, a beloved son, brother, and friend, was born on November 5th, 1997, and passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the age of 27.
Bryce was born and raised in Virginia until the age of 16, when Bryce and his family later moved to Kansas, where he built a life filled with laughter, friendship, and adventure. Bryce was a proud graduate of Campus High School, and he continued his education at WSU Tech through the apprenticeship program, reflecting his drive, intelligence, and strong work ethic.
Bryce was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, his quick wit, and his big heart. He had a deep love for cars and boats, and he was also working towards earning his private pilot's license-one of his many goals that showed his ambition and love of learning. He cherished every moment spent with his friends and family.
Bryce's humor, intelligence, and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He had a gift for making people feel loved and valued, and his presence brought warmth and light wherever he went.
He is survived by his loving parents, Jennifer and Doug Rowland; his sister and brother-in-law, Chelsea and AJ Nightingale; brother, Brett Rowland, all from Wichita, Kansas; Sister Melissa Russell from Marshall Virginia, cherished girlfriend Taryn Kondo from Wichita, Kansas; Grandparents Bill and Desma Rowland of culpeper, VA; Don and Mary Watt of Loretto, PA, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as many friends that were like family to him.
Bryce's memory will live on in our hearts, and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
A time of visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, October 24th, 2025 between 5-8pm at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, Kansas 67060.
A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at Bethel Life Center, 3777 S. Meridian Ave., Wichita, Kansas 67217, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the joy he brought into the world.
We are honoring the memory of Bryce Rowland through the annual Gypsum Hills Memorial Car show in Sun City, Kansas. We believe God will continue to work through Bryce’s memory, even in the small things like this car show, that he always loved, helped and attended. If you feel led to give in Bryce’s memory, as well as attend, the family would be honored by your generosity as well as your presence. A date will be announced early next year.
