Bobbie Joyce Huston

Bobbie J. Huston, age 82, of Wichita, retired office manager for H. C. Bumgardner for 21 years, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015. Visitation 1-8 PM Monday, September 14, with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Funeral Service 2 PM Tuesday, September 15, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Bobbie was born in Derby in 1933 and graduated from Planeview High School in 1951. During her younger years, Bobbie worked for many movie theaters, including the Orpheum, Palace and the Miller. She enjoyed camping in her RV, dancing, roller skating and her many wonderful friends. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry; daughters, Diana Manos (Ron), of Wichita, Brenda Scott, of Mountain Home, AR, Michelle Cox, of Durham, NC; sisters, Nancy Hannawalt (Hal), and Helen Frantz, all of Wichita; brother-in-law, Jim Huston; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Martha & Joe Dietsch; and a sister, Patsy Groves. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Alzheimers Association, 1820 E.
