Billy Joe Pickens

Billy Joe Pickens, age 88, of Derby, loving husband, father, grandfather and retired USD 259 Principal, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019. No visitation. Memorial service 11 am Monday, January 28, Madison Avenue United Methodist Church, 900 E Madison Ave., Derby. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys Pickens and his sister, Helen Alexander Bilbrey. Survivors include his wife of 61 years "Harri" (Harolene); son, Greg Pickens (Anne), of California; daughter, LuAnn Schaaf (Jeff), of Kansas; brother, Ross Pickens, of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ryan Pickens (Ashlyn), of Oregon; Sydney Schaaf, of Michigan, Steven Schaaf, of the District of Columbia, Chris Pickens (Jennie) of South Carolina.
