Billie Jean Ramsey

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother Billie Jean Ramsey, 77, passed away at home on August 2, 2023. Billie was born August 2, 1946, to William and Delphine Deskins in Arkansas City, Kansas. She met Frank Ramsey while attending East High School in Wichita, Kansas. The couple was married in 1964 and she remained in love with Frank for the remainder of her life.  They had two daughters, Tiffany and Natalie, and Billie was devoted mother, Billie spent the majority of her professional life educating, supporting and loving the students and the faculty and staff of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School. She was a passionate, dedicated and kind teacher. She gifted her students with a love of literature and the competency to find success in their own endeavors. Billie retired from Bishop Carroll in 2012 after serving the diocese for 35 years. In retirement Billie cared for her grandson, Nicholas, and the rest of her family. She enjoyed her many pets, her Hallmark movies, and time with her friends. Billie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Frank, and her daughters, Tiffany and Natalie. She is survived by her grandson, Nicholas, her great-grandchildren, Gema and Gage, her sister, Deanna, niece Dina Kim and cousin Lana.
