Bill Barnes

Bill Barnes, 88, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015. Bill was a WWII veteran, serving in the United States Army, Navy, and Air Force. Visitation Sunday 1-6 p.m. (family present 4-6), at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Graveside service 10:00 a.m. Monday, at El Paso Cemetery, Derby. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; daughter Beverly Ann Barnes, and son Bart William Barnes. Survived by daughters Barbara (Harold) Scritchfield of Carl Junction, Missouri and Belinda (Don) Royer of Derby; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202, and VFW Post 7253, 101 S. Baltimore, Derby, KS 67037.
