Beverly K. Dewater

DeWater, Beverly, K., 82, passed away Monday, January 8th, 2024, in Winfield, Kansas. Graveside service is 2:00 pm Saturday, January 20th, 2024, at the Douglass Cemetery, Douglass, Kansas.

Beverly was born June 19, 1941, In Winfield, Kansas to Leona Belle (Shockey) and Charles William De Water. She was reared and attended schools in Elk County, Kansas. Beverly graduated from Kansas State University, in 1967 with a BSE and received post graduate degrees from Kansas State University, Emporia State University, Pittsburg State University and received her doctorate from the University of Arkansas. She was an associate professor of psychology at Arkansas State University from 1972 to her retirement in 2001.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Elbert DeWater. Survivors included her nieces, Carol Still, Lisa Willard, Debbie DeWater and nephew Charles DeWater.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Cumbernauld Village, 716 Tweed, Winfield, KS 67156.
