Beverly Crowe

Beverly L. Crowe, passed away Wednesday, Oct 10, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born in Macomb, Illinois and later moved to Wichita, Kansas to raise her family. She worked as one of the first female mail carriers for Wichita, Derby and Mulvane. Her passions in life included fishing, gardening, bird watching, quilting, and her grandchildren. She also acted as treasurer for the Burden Methodist church for many years. She is preceded by her parents Marjorie and Claude Hesh; her husband Don Crowe and her brother William (Charlotte) Hesh. She is survived by her children Cathy (Bobby) Quackenbush, Dana (Larry) Dame, Doug (Cathy) Crowe, Candy Crowe, Patty (Fred) Simon, and Becky (Larry) Smith; her sisters Janet (Larry) Johnson, Julane (Dick) Fowler, and Nancy (Bill) Thorndyke; her 8 grandchildren; and her 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 11 am Monday Oct. 15 at Smith Family Mortuary in Derby. Burial to follow at Mulvane Cemetery. Flowers May be sent to Smith Family Mortuary.
