DERBY – Wyant, Betty Ann
88, passed away Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024. She was born in rural Derby, KS on June 22nd, 1936 to Guy and Ina (Sargeant) Human.
Betty is survived by her four children, James (Carol) Wyant of Ft. Worth, TX; Cheri (C.D.) Wyant of Centerton, AR; Craig (Nancy) Wyant of Tyro, KS; Kevin (Renee) Wyant of Peck, KS; Seven grandchildren, Chris (Jennifer) Wyant of Mulvane, KS; Clayton (Jennifer) Wyant of Derby, KS; Elizabeth Wyant of Midland, TX; Tyler (Madison) Wyant of Bartlesville, OK; Kelsey Wyant of Bartlesville, OK; Keana (Daniel) Perales of Wichita, KS; and Anika Wyant (Corey Kauffman) of Wichita, KS; Ten great-grandchildren, Kylee Wyant, Collin Wyant, Katelyn Wyant, Mckenzie Wyant, Quinten Wyant all of Mulvane, KS; Ember Wyant and Hunter Smith, Derby, KS; Elleana Perales and Amelia Perales of Wichita, KS; and Eisley Wyant of Bartlesville, OK; Sister, Mildred Gasaway of Derby, KS and Brothers, Jame Roy Human of Augusta, KS and Gerald Human of Denver, CO.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Duane Eugene Wyant, her parents and brother, Dale Human.
Betty worked in various jobs throughout the years including TG&Y and Farm Credit Bank. Betty and Duane were State Directors of the Kansas Good Sam RV Camping Club, enjoyed square dancing, 4-H Club leaders, showing and shearing sheep, and best of all – grandkids.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 26th at Madison Avenue United Methodist Church, Derby, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ability Point, ARC of Sedgwick County Summer Socialization Program for children with developmental disabilities, 2919 W. 2nd St, Wichita, KS 67203.
