Betty Georgene Wood

Wood, Betty G., 100, passed away on June 11, 2026. She was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 13, 1926, to her parents, George V. and Marguerite J. Quigg.

Earlier in life she enjoyed going to the lake, shopping and walking.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh L. Wood; parents; George and Marguerite Quigg; siblings, Linley (Bud) Quigg, and Hazel (Billy) Jacks; and a grandson, Kenneth Reichuber Jr.; son-in-law, Johnny Roberts.

Betty is survived by her daughter, DeArah Roberts; grandchildren, Cherie King and her husband, Kevin King, Julie Schaenk and her husband, Larry Schaenk, Preston Reichuber and Lisa Jenkins; 6 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service is 1pm on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Benton Cemetery, 13812 SW 20th St, Benton, KS 67017.
