Betty Louise Smalley

TOWANDA- Betty Louise Smalley, 79, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday, with family present 4-6 p.m.; funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Betty spent lots of time quilting, donating dozens to children’s charities. She also enjoyed outings to the casino, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Thelma Hoffman, and sister JoAnn Buckner. Survived by husband Milo; children Michael (Tammy) Smalley, Janna Smalley, Clint (DeeDee) Smalley; grandchildren Samantha (Josh) Wittlake, Wayne (Shabree) Smalley, Jessi Smalley, Kayla Smalley, and Brenden Smalley; great-grandchildren Mackenzie and Mason; and sisters Lorraine Hoffman and Delores Downs. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Wichita Children’s Home, 810 N. Holyoke, Wichita, KS 67208.
