Pitcher, Betty Jo, 80, retired Cessna sheet metal trainer and assembler, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Pitcher, Sr., and half-brother Joe Hutton. She is survived by her children, Edward A. (Katherine) Pitcher, Jr., Stephen (Carla) Pitcher, all of Derby; Regina (Ivan) Chrisman, Cindy Pitcher-Ornelas, Alan Pitcher, Dale (Joanna) Pitcher, and Kelly (Elysia) Pitcher, all of Wichita; 25 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; and sister Mary Ann Paul, Wichita. A memorial has been established with American Diabetes Association, 608 W. Douglas, Wichita, and American Cancer Society, 818 N. Emporia, Ste. 100, Wichita, KS 67214.


Visitation 1-8 Thursday, family present 6-8 p.m; Rosary 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Catholic Church, 18630 W. 71st St. S., Viola (Clonmel).
