Betty J. Nolan, 82, died January 18, 2022, at Life Care Center of Andover in Andover, Kansas. She was born to Isaac and Josephine (Knott) Dawson on May 7, 1939 on their farm in Mayfield, Kansas. Betty worked as a bartender and packinghouse worker, but she will be best remembered for her faithful Christianity and her fierce love for her family and friends.


Betty was preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Josephine Dawson, her husband Wesley Nolan; her siblings, Ivan, Robert, and Velma Dawson; her son Bradley Hain; and her grandson, Patrick Hain. She is survived by her children Randall Hain, Kathrine (Philipp Marr) Cayer, and Shelley Mitchell; grandchildren, Dena Jo Hain, Teresa Paite, Vincent Magill, Joshua Cayer, Emerson Cayer, Vintzen Marr, Bryce Marr, Phillip Marr, Jr., Zachary Mitchell, Jason Ford, and Rachel Hain.


Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery, 1208 N. College, Winfield, Kansas.
