Betty Jameson

May 9, 1939 — June 29, 2022

In loving memory of Betty Jo Jameson, 83, one of the original founding members of the The Gospel Singing Ledbetters.

Betty went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 29, 2022! She was born on May 9, 1939, in Huntsville, Arkansas to parents, Jack and Nadine Ledbetter.

Betty Jo was a huge part of The Gospel Singing Ledbetters. She spent many years traveling the world with her siblings, singing from coast to coast! When she wasn’t on the road you could always find her at Sunday School teaching Young Married Couples at Westside Freewill Baptist Church. She loved writing songs and music. She spent her past time making baskets and wreaths with her sister-in-law and best friend, Madge and sister Judy, for pop ups and church bazaars. She enjoyed working at and for the church. Most of all, Betty Jo was one of the best cooks around, that anyone had the pleasure of sitting down at the table with.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Jameson; son, Kim Ledbetter; father, Willis Jack Ledbetter; mother, Mamie Nadine Ledbetter; sisters, Kay Ledbetter – O’Bar and Twila (Twink) Ledbetter, all of Wichita, Kansas.

Betty Jo is survived by sisters, Judy (Jerry) Rogers and Chris Leichner; brothers, Rev. Glenn (Madge) Ledbetter, Rev. Gary (Wanda) Ledbetter and Rev. Danny (Rhonda) Ledbetter; daughter-in-law, Becky Ledbetter; granddaughters, Sasha (Justin) Ledbetter Peterson and Brooke Ledbetter; grandsons, Michael Mihalakis and Rance (Jessica) Ledbetter; great-grandchildren, Dallas Whitman, Tyler Whitman, and Caiden Morris.

She also leaves behind many other extend family members and countless friends. Her legacy will live on through faith, love, and music. “I Love You!”
