Hesse, Betty Jean, 83, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011, in her home. Visitation 1-5 pm, Wednesday, December 21. Funeral service 2 pm Thursday, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin, and daughter, Connie. She is survived by her son, James. A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
