Betty Jo Decker

Betty Jo Decker, 68, of Wichita, KS, passed away on the morning of October 10th, 2024.

Betty was born on March 29, 1956 to Flossie Allen and Lloyd Allen in Coffeyville. After Betty graduated from Field Kilney Memorial High School in 1974.

In 1972, Betty met Robert in Coffeyville, KS. Betty and Robert went on to have two children, Joey Houlihan and Daniel Decker.

Betty worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant for most of her career and in 2023, Betty retired and spent most of her time reading, spending time with her loved ones and exploring thrift stores.

Betty is survived by Harry (brother) and Georgia (sister), Robert (spouse), and Daniel (son).

Services will be held at Smith Family Mortuaries in Derby, KS on October 19th at 10:00am, and a visitation will be held on October 18th at 5:00-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mid-America All-Indian Center, an organization Betty felt strongly about due to her heritage.
