Bernard J. Newman

Bernard J. Newman, age 78, retired shop foreman for Fruehauf Trailers and USF Dugan, passed away on February 5, 2014. Visitation 1-5pm Sunday, February 9, at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Recitation of the Rosary 7pm Sunday, February 9; funeral Mass 10:30am Monday, February 10, 2014 both at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4411 W. Maple. Bernard is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; parents, John and Rosa Newman; brothers, Matt, Stephen and George Newman; sisters, Monica Thomas and Renalda Christianson; son in-law, Vernon Monarez. He is survived by his son, Patrick (Kathy) Newman; daughter, Donna Monarez; sister, Angie Ahne; grandchildren, Aaron and Nick Newman, Rachael, Paul, Casey and Julia Monarez; great-grandchildren, Lola Monarez. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the church or CurePSP, 30 E. Padonia Road, Suite 201 Timonium, MD 21093.
