Benjamin Cuadra

Cuadra, Benjamin S., passed away Friday, August 7, 2015. He was born December 5, 1956 to Kenneth and Mary (O'Neill) Cuadra in Ottawa, KS. Ben was baptized, confirmed and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and School. He was a former member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Wichita and a current member of Woodlawn UMC. He enjoyed singing in church choir, as well as, driving cross country for work, drum corps, charter bus, school bus and pleasure. Ben was a storm chaser and DJ for KNSS. He enjoyed cooking and held several food service management positions. Most recently, Ben worked as an accountant in the manufacturing industry. He enjoyed all kinds of music, especially the Beach Boys and drum corps. Ben was known for his humor and being a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ben is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tammy (Minard) Cuadra; children, Christopher Cuadra of Wichita and Lindsay Cuadra of Derby; grandchildren, Arielle and Lianna Cuadra; sisters, Denise K. (Sam) Scott of Cleveland, TN and Annette (Roy) Miller of Emporia, KS; and parents-in-law, Don and Karen Minard of Wichita. Visitation: Tuesday from 1 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, Derby. Funeral: 10 am, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Derby, KS. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Gifts to offset medical & funeral expenses may be made to Ben Cuadra Memorial account at any Intrust Bank locations or a memorial may be made to Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S Woodlawn, Derby, KS 67037.
