Beatryse J. “Bea” (Palmer) Vyff, 86, homemaker and educator, was born in Cheney, Ks on February 6, 1927 to Ernest and Ruby Palmer. She entered Heaven on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. She graduated from Kingman High School and Kansas State University where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Bea received her Masters degree in Early Childhood Development in her later years. She initiated the first day care for young mothers attending West High, at the school, in order for them to complete their education. Bea cherished times with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They loved traveling to Estes Park, Colorado as often as possible. She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin; brothers, Kenneth and Kendrick Palmer. Survivors include sons, Rodney (Mary Jane) of Cheyenne, WY., Randy (Angela) of Eugene, OR., Neil (Pam) of Wichita; grandchildren, Heather Vyff, Jason Vyff (Nicki), Shannon Vyff (Michael), Eric Vyff (Kelsey); great-grandchildren, Morgan, Colton, Avianna, Avryn, Avalyse, Avriel and Nash. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2258 Marigold, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials contributions to Trinity Presbyterian Church Playground Fund.
