Barbara Ann (Cokely) Mcgregor

August 6, 1935 — February 17, 2025

Barbara passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Barbara was born to Charlie and Lucile (Bliss) Cokely in Watonga, Oklahoma on August 6,1935. She was a housewife/homemaker but worked for a short while as a secretary at Sears & Roebuck, and Schoen’s (a clothing boutique) in Wichita.

In 1956 she met and married Kermit Gene McGregor, together they had three children.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Charles and Kenneth. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Kermit, their daughter Debra (Mitch) Pence of Kansas City, son Wesley (Jodi) McGregor of Wichita and daughter Sharon (Bob) Huntley of Derby. Three grandchildren Dustin (Krystal) Pence of Olathe, Melissa (Trent) Pulver of Derby and Matt (Jenna) Pence of Olathe. Nine great grandchildren Kennedy, Douglas, Owen, Lincoln, Delaney, Kelsey, Kaelyn, Florence and Everett. Her sister-in-law Shirley Cokely of Wellsville and sister- in-law Marilyn Cokely of Cheney, nieces, nephews and a host of friends including her new found friends at Brook Dale Assisted Living where she and Kermit recently moved.

Visitation will be 9 am to 10 am on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Derby Church of the Nazarene, 840 N Woodlawn Blvd, Derby, KS 67037. A Memorial Service will begin at 10. Burial to follow at El Paso Cemetery, Derby. A memorial has been established at Derby Church of the Nazarene (Prime Timers).
