Barbara Jean Mann

Barbara J. Mann (Howard) 81, took her Heavenly flight on August 15, 2024. Barbara was born in Winfield, Kansas to Maurice and Velma (Harris) Howard on February 15, 1943.

Barbara attended Mulvane Elementary and then to Augusta junior and senior high school, graduating in 1961. She was united in marriage to David Mann of Wichita on October 22, 1961. To this union, they had three children. Barbara and David owned and operated Roberts Overdoors in Derby, Kansas. When David passed away in 1995, Barbara continued to run the business until she retired in 2011. Barbara was a devoted christian and a faithful servant to the Lord. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church for more than 60 years.

Barbara is survived by her children, Davey (Bernadette) Mann of Wichita, KS, Tracy (John) Crabtree of Garden Plaine, KS, and Chris (Tina) Mann of Haysville, KS; brother, Clayton Howard of Show Low, AZ; sister, Shirley Segerhammar of Mulvane, KS; sister-in-law, Janice Winter of Derby, KS; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins; and her dog Mackie.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, David Mann; parents, Maurice and Velma Howard; sister, Wanda Winters; brothers-in-law, Darrell Winters, Art Castle; sisters-in-law, Carol Howard, Jean Castle; father-in-law, David A. Mann; mother-in-law, Alice Mann.

Visitation: 5-7pm, Tuesday, August 20 at Smith Family Mortuary, 501 E Louis Blvd, Mulvane, KS 67110. Funeral Service: 10am at Sunnyside Baptist Church, 2618 E Morris St, Wichita, KS 67211, with burial to follow at Mulvane Cemetery.
