Barbara S. Eckhart

Barbara Eckhart, age 77, was received into the open arms of Jesus August 20, 2017. A Memorial service will be held at 3pm Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Smith Mortuary – Derby, 1415 N. Rock Rd, with visitation prior to service from 1-3pm. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennet and Aileene Riley; brother, Thomas Riley. Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years, the love of her life, Roger; children, Sue (Tom) Lorenz, Roger Eckhart Jr., Julie Eckhart; grandchildren, James (Natalie) Smith, Terra (Sean) Smith, Kathryn (Jacob) Noble, Taylor Ehrlich; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Emilya, Lily, Noah, Augustus; sisters, Judy Coor, Joellyn (Charles) Coor; sister–in-law, Linda Riley. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is with the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Catholic Charities or the Diabetes Association.
