Avis I. Ahring

Avis I. Ahring, 94, died Friday, December 9, 2011. She attended business school in Hutchinson, Kansas and had worked at Beechcraft before becoming a Controller Secretary at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita where after 20 years she retired in 1987. Avis is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Dora Gardner Ahring, brothers, Alvin Ahring and Fred W. Ahring, Sr. Survivors include her nieces Janice Beeman (Richard) of Santee, CA, Bonnie Messenger of Ottawa, KS, Judy Ahring of Garnett, KS, Pam Ahring of Kincaid, KS; nephew, Rick Ahring (Linda Hayman) of Parker, KS; numerous great nieces and nephews; friend, Bill Woodson of Augusta.
