Arthur William Schultz

Derby – Schultz, Arthur William, age 90, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013. He was born September 11, 1922, in McPherson, KS to Wesley Lawrence Schultz and Bertha (Geis) Schultz. He grew up in Durham, KS where he graduated from high school in 1940. Art attended K-State then worked for Beech Aircraft during WWII and after the war he joined the family appliance business in Hillsboro, KS. In 1942 he married Evelyn Beneke with whom he celebrated their 70th anniversary last December. He and Evelyn have one daughter, Jennifer (Bruce) Baugh of Derby; 3 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation 1-8pm Monday, July 15, with family present 6-8pm at Smith Mortuary, Derby. Funeral service 1pm Tuesday, July 16, at Holy Cross Lutheran, 600 N. Greenwich Rd., Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the church and the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Ste. 1010 Rockville, MD 20852.
