Arnold "Arnie" Ruhter

Arnold N. "Arnie" Ruhter, age 94, of Wichita, loving husband, father, grandfather, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017. Visitation 1-8 pm Thursday, August 31, with family receiving friends 5-7 pm, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby. Funeral service 10 am Friday, September 1, TAAG Church, 20700 W. Kellogg, Goddard. Arnie is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Dora Ruhter; and his brothers, Robert, Wilmer and Loren Ruhter. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Arvada; son, Daniel (Becky), of Mulvane; daughter, Karen Handshy, of Wichita; sister, Mildred Maurer, of Hastings, NE; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchidren. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Wheat State Camp for Kids, c/o TAAG Church, 20700 W. Kellogg, Goddard, KS 67052.
