Anthony (Tony) Richard Nixon, 71, of Derby, Kansas, peacefully passed away on March 30, 2026.

Tony was born on May 2, 1954. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy J. Nixon, in 2001; his mother, Helena June Nixon (Savage), in 2008; and his sister, Kathy Nixon Fager, in April 2025.

He is survived by his brother, Mike Nixon of Kansas City, Kansas; his sister, Rebecca (Nixon) Prideaux of Wichita, Kansas; and his brother-in-law, Jim Prideaux. Tony is also an uncle to three nieces, five nephews, one great-niece, and one great-nephew.

Tony was a loving, kind, and caring person whose world revolved around his beloved companion Bojett (a mini Pomeranian), art, music, and friends. As a professional artist, he created and commissioned many works of art, each reflecting his creativity and passion. He also had a deep love for music and collaborated with several groups to develop music and songs online.

As an avid motorcycle enthusiast, Tony found great joy in riding is Vulcan motorcycle. On a beautiful day, he would be out on the open road, with the wind in his face, exploring new places and enjoying life's adventures. He took great pride in customizing his bike, adding meaningful details that expressed his vibrant personality.

Tony will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kind spirit, artistic vision, and love for life will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey. May he forever rest in the peace surrounded by the beauty he so loved to create.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to the Kansas Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
